Terms of Use

Vilokana is a media-intelligence website for India. It shows who owns the outlets you read, scores how news coverage leans, and surfaces stories that few outlets covered. It can also send you an optional email digest.

Vilokana is in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed while we build it.

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email you. There is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox, and for what happens under your account.

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Please give an email address that is really yours.

Use Vilokana for your own reading and research. Please do not: overload or probe the service, bypass rate limits or sign-in checks, scrape it in bulk, use it to harass or defame anyone, or use it for anything unlawful.

We may limit or block access that looks abusive.

Bias scores, summaries and similar analysis on Vilokana are produced automatically by an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete or missing context.

They are not statements of fact about any news outlet, owner, journalist or other person. Ownership and coverage information is compiled by us and may be out of date. Please read the original reporting and judge for yourself.

Nothing on Vilokana is legal, medical or financial advice, or advice of any other professional kind.

Vilokana is free to use during the beta. We may introduce paid plans later. If we do, we will tell you in advance, and you will never be charged unless you choose a paid plan yourself.

The articles Vilokana analyses belong to their publishers. We show headlines, short excerpts and our own analysis, and we link to the original source. We do not claim ownership of anyone's reporting.

If you are a publisher and want something changed or removed, email contact@vilokana.com.

Vilokana's own software, design and analysis belong to us. You may use them for personal, non-commercial reading. Please do not copy or resell them without asking.

You can stop using Vilokana at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing contact@vilokana.com.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or to protect the service or other people. We may also change or end the beta.

Vilokana is provided as it is, without promises that it will be accurate, available or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vilokana is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Vilokana.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site or by email.

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
